Thursday 20 July 2017, 9-1.30pm

Royal Canberra Golf Course, Canberra

This half-day intensive will provide proven strategies for tackling the challenges of leadership within Industry Associations.

We’ll address the threats and opportunities you’re facing everyday. You'll learn:

How to ambush-proof your organisation from disruption.

How to influence and inspire your stakeholders.

How to expand your leadership thinking capacity.

You’ll meet like-minded peers and refresh your perspective on your current direction and strategies.

Take time out to be part of an intensive that will have long-term impact for your association and your stakeholders.

Many associations are stuck in survival mode, where the focus is on keeping the doors open and maintaining service provision to members. To move an organisation towards transformational work, executives must have key leadership and influence skills.

This workshop will position you as not only being relevant, but pivotal to your members and industry sector’s future. You’ll feel more confident about facing volatile change, staying on top of trends and taking progressive action. You’ll be shown how to inject effective leadership skills into your day-to-day business so that your stakeholders are satisfied, your staff are happy, and you have effective advocacy.

This is specialised training just for industry association executives. We’re taking our years of expertise and applying it directly to you. We’re certain that you’ll find this relevant and will be able to use the strategies to implement significant steps forward.

We’ll address how you can:

Stay on top of industry innovation, changes and challenges

Establish powerful networks of like-minded leaders for support and insight in an often challenging environment

Hone influence skills for the board room, the staff room, and the ballroom.

At Inner Compass we’re all about enabling our clients to grow their business networks. Prior to the event, we will send out a survey where you can nominate up to 3 other attendees you would like to meet. We will set you up on a business blind-date - either on the day, or post-event. We want you to feel supported and grow your capacity to inject positive change in your organisation and your networks.

We know that getting fire hosed with information does not have a long-term impact so we’ve adapted a more interactive model that means that our participants get more out of their training. Our education approach has three key ingredients:

Perspectives that spark new ideas

Connections with like-minded peers - leverage the wisdom and experience in the room

Opportunity to reflect, process, and apply.

You will walk away with practical resources that are immediately actionable. We create an environment where you can explore ideas with others and make genuine connections with peers. Your time and attention is a non-renewable resource; we make sure it is well invested, with good returns.
