Executive Director Ian Taylor on working on your leadership mindset

Ian Taylor is the Executive Director of the Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC).  During his 40-year career he has worked in defence, pivoted his career to become a research scientist, lived and worked in numerous countries around the world and currently lives in Narrabri NSW, where he grows pecans and runs prime meat lambs on a small property with his wife and 3 children.  

Ian is passionate about science and people and strongly believes that by combining the two there is nothing that we can’t achieve or overcome as a society. Ian is a strong advocate for diversity, equality and empowering people to be able to provide fulfilment in their roles and deliver organisational objectives.  

Ian is working on developing a culture based on openness and transparency to build a community of trust both within the CRDC organisation and with CRDCs valued research partners.
