The 42-year-old story

I went home to Canada for my Dad’s 80th, and my brother’s 50th birthdays. It was awesome to connect with my family. While there, Dad pulled a box of ‘stuff’ they still had, simply labelled ‘Zoë’. It was a treasure trove of my writing from elementary school through to university days.

There were some particularly fabulous gems in there. Teenage angst anyone? Goodness!

I thought I’d share my favourite one. It’s a story called ‘The Pirate’ I wrote in grade six, when I was 11.

Enjoy!
